Teaching Kids about Slow Food

The Terra Medra Day event in Sierra Leone, scheduled for December 10, 2025, aims to unite children in my rural community of Segebewama, Kailahun District. This initiative focuses on educating participants about the importance of Slow Food and sustainable gardening practices. We expect to engage around 20 children and some adults, fostering a deeper understanding of healthy eating and local food systems. Through hands-on activities and discussions, this event will not only promote awareness but also strengthen community ties, encouraging families to embrace sustainable agricultural practices and the benefits of Slow Food in their daily lives.
