From Soil to Table: A Celebration of Agroecology

From Soil to Table: Agroecology and Women’s Solidarity The “From Soil to Table” event at Henna Farm celebrates Terra Madre Day by bringing local women and indigenous farmers together to learn traditional harvesting of medicinal plants like mint and thyme. Guests will taste fresh, natural farm products and learn about agroecology and the Slow Food movement, which supports healthy farming and biodiversity. Participants will share experiences in friendly discussions about sustainable agriculture and community futures. The day ends with local music and herbal tea in a warm atmosphere. “From Soil to Table” revives indigenous knowledge, empowers rural women, and builds solidarity. Organized with two Convivium groups from Alborz and Damavand.
