Field visit to our gardens to celebrate our crops

For Terra Madre Day this December 2026, we will organize a field visit to our gardens in Kpayama Layout, Kenema District. Under the theme "Field visit to our gardens to celebrate our crops and the hard work of our farmers", our members, women, and youth farmers will gather to celebrate our harvest and honor the hands that feed our communities. We will tour our kola nut farms, share indigenous knowledge on sustainable farming, agroforestry, and seed preservation, and discuss how to protect our crops from climate change. The day will include display of our kola nut varieties, storytelling of our food traditions, and community sharing of local dishes. It will be a moment of unity, pride, and learning, promoting good, clean and fair food and strengthening our commitment to Slow Food values.
