Eating Locally-Slow Food

I am proud to join Slow Food Terra Madre – “Eat Locally”, celebrating the importance of local food, traditional knowledge, and sustainable agriculture. In Somalia, local farmers, pastoralists, fishers, women, and food producers play a vital role in nourishing communities and protecting our natural resources. We believe that eating locally strengthens local economies, supports small-scale producers, preserves indigenous food traditions, and contributes to healthier and more resilient communities. Through our community-centered work, URDUN promotes sustainable livelihoods, food security, climate resilience, and inclusive participation. Eat locally, support local producers, protect biodiversity, and build a sustainable food future for Somalia.
