Biodiversity in action

Our Terra Madre Day event will be a bridge that connects youth and the community with agroecology, bee conservation, and biodiversity preservation through engaging, hands-on learning. Participants will construct insect hotels and plant native flora to build micro-habitats for local bees, take a guided tour of a low-impact garden to explore agroecological soil practices, and participate in a youth-led seed-saving workshop. By blending active outdoor experiences with ecological education, this event equips young leaders with practical skills to protect local food systems, boost pollinator populations, and advocate for sustainable biodiversity in their communities.
