Terra Madre Day at the Wine Festival “Amer-Imeri"
As part of the annual Wine Festival “Amer-Imeri 2025”, the Kvevri Wine Presidium and the Imereti Slow Food Covivium jointly celebrate Terra Madre Day, highlighting the deep connection between Georgian wine heritage, community identity, and the principles of good, clean, and fair food.
The event will take place on 6 December within the dynamic atmosphere of the festival, which gathers winemakers, farmers, artisans, chefs, and visitors from across the region. Each year the festival welcomes around 80 natural wine producers.
The celebration will reaffirm the Presidium’s commitment to supporting natural winemakers, strengthening cooperation among producers, and engaging new generations in the preservation of Georgia’s wine culture. By integrating Terra Madre Day into one of Imereti’s key wine festivals, the Presidium showcased how traditional knowledge, community resilience, and sustainable agriculture can shape a stronger, fairer food system—aligned with the core values of Slow Food.
