COOK TOGETHER, SHARE A MEAL, SHARE A STORY
As our third Terra Madre Day celebration in our community, we will do communal cooking in Malitbog Elementary School in Bingawan Iloilo wherein students, parents and teachers will be making our food together, and there share to everyone. There will be talks and conversations about Slow Food principle of good, clean and fair food for all. There will be discussions and introductions about Ark of Taste, as most ingredients in our cooking activity are included.
Students from Kinder to 5th grade will be joining workshops and some educational activities we prepare that relates to biodiversity. Students from 6th grade will be joining in our cooking activity as we introduce and increase their awareness to the importance of culture and heritage in our community. Their own experiences will make them more understand the value of what is Slow Food all about.
