celebrating taste from traditional artisanal pots
The event will gather farmers and their school-going children at the organizational grounds at Bio Gardening Innovations[BIOGI], Elnuni Ecogardens, for the celebrations. The organization will host the event as part of strengthening agroecology elements, with special attention to celebrating the taste of food from traditional clay pots. The local community has a wide range of cooking pots that are fast disappearing with the emergence of metal and aluminum pots. Foods of diverse nature, ranging from traditional free-range chicken, dried and smoked fish, African leafy vegetables, brown ugali, and soups, will be served. Participants will have an opportunity to buy available farm produce brought by farmers trained in agroecology. This will include ripe bananas, sugar cane, and assorted tubers of cassava, sweet potatoes, and beans.
