From the Heart of the Tatras

We're coming together to discuss pure and honest food in the spirit of Slow Food. Podhale boasts a wealth of artisans and cheesemakers, both large and small, so we're coming together to celebrate Terra Madre Day in Zakopane. This year's theme is: "From the Heart of the Tatras – the Flavors and Hands of Podhale." 3:00 PM - 3:30 PM Welcome, introduction to the concept of Terra Madre Day and Slow Food. 3:30 PM - 5:00 PM Culinary Workshop "From Scratch to Cheese" – building a community around a cauldron and making cheese together (redykołka, knobka). And why not make oscypek? 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM Culinary Workshop: "Flavors of Highland Cuisine – Tradition and Modernity. How to Plan Meals with Longevity in Mind in Our Region." 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM Let's sit down at the table together. We'll taste dishes and discuss local traditions and recipes.
