The upcoming celebration is a heartfelt tribute to Negrense food and culture, grounded in Slow Food principles. The celebration highlights Negros Island’s local ingredients to preserve culinary traditions, support farmers, and promote biodiversity.
Beyond the celebration, the event will serve as a space for reflection, including a review of the impact of the recent Terra Madre Asia & Pacific event on local food systems and heritage.
It is also a moment to plan future efforts toward “good, clean, and fair food” by 2026, ensuring that local food remains sustainable, culturally rooted, and equitable for communities and farmer-producers.
